About me
MY ARTISTIC JOURNEY
Oriana Dias's musical journey began at the age of 12, when she started studying music with private teachers.
Shortly afterwards, she enrolled at the Portimão Academy of Music and later at the Lagos Academy of Music, where she developed her artistic training.
Between 2003 and 2009, she completed Grade 8 Piano and further developed her vocal training through singing lessons and courses with teachers Birgit Wegemann and Lídia Link-Coelho.
During this period, she performed as the lead vocalist with the resident bands at Casino Algarve in Praia da Rocha and Casino Vilamoura, gaining extensive stage experience. At the same time, she worked as a Music Expression teacher at the Portimão Conservatory of Music and at several private schools.
Between 2010 and 2018, she worked as a Music Expression teacher and taught in the Curricular Enrichment Activities (AEC) program in the municipalities of Portimão, Lagos, and Lagoa.
At the same time, she maintained an active artistic career as a singer in a musical duo in the Portimão region, attended various training programs in music education, and took part in the Fado Sinfónico performance with Gato Malvado at the Lagos Cultural Centre.
Throughout these years, she has participated in several fado competitions held in the Algarve, winning numerous first places and consolidating her recognition as a performer of this genre so emblematic of Portuguese culture.
CURRENT EVENTS
Since 2025, Oriana Dias has dedicated herself to music as a full-time professional, maintaining an active artistic career across a variety of settings. She regularly performs as a fado singer in restaurants and hotels throughout the Algarve and is involved in several musical projects, appearing as a solo artist, in a duo, and with a band (quartet). Her repertoire spans fado, Portuguese music, jazz, pop, blues, and other musical styles.
She has also collaborated with various municipalities, hotels, and cultural organizations, bringing her music to a wide range of audiences and events.
Among her most recent achievements and performances are:
Second place in the City of Lagos Fado Competition;
Guest performance at the 2nd edition of the Festival da Voz, by invitation of the Portimão Choral Group;
Concert at the Parish of Nossa Senhora da Conceição in Odiáxere.
